Abstract
The College of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences will host a solemn ceremony in cerebration of the life of Prof Wangari Maathai on Friday 14th October 2011 from 1.20PM. The ceremony will start with planting of 71 indigenous trees at the Wangari Maathai Institute site followed by tributes. The documentary "Taking the Root: The Vision of Wangari Maathai" will be shown immediately after the tributes. All are welcome.
