dc.description.abstractChairman department of surgery was invited on 28th May 2015 to give a talk to form three students on Medicine and surgery. This talk formed part of the mentorship programme in the school. The Labion Society (formally called Old Yorkist Society) recently started this mentorship programme and this was the second session in the series. The response to the mentorship programme has been good from the old boys community. The aim of the sessions is to assist the young students in among other thing open their eyes to career opportunities available once they leave school. Other objectives include;Widen the students world view through sharing knowledge and experiences from alumni Support soft skills development to ensure students maximise their potential in life Stimulate & develop a growth mentality culture Create a platform for feedback from students to alumni.en_US
