UoN and Nyandarua County to set up University

Abstract

The University of Nairobi (UoN) and Nyandarua County Government will set up a university in Nyandarua.

This was revealed when the Governor, Mr. Daniel Waithaka paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Mbithi on June 17, 2015.

Prof. Mbithi welcomed the initiative noting that UoN will mentor the institution until it is a fully fledged university in accordance with the Universities Act 2012. Already, the university of Nairobi is mentoring Embu University College and Koitaleel Samoei University College towards becoming fully-fledged universities.
