University of Nairobi pension scheme: members education day- CEES
Abstract
The Board of Trustees led by the interim Chairperson Prof. Lucy Irungu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research, Production & Extension on 2nd July 2015 held an informative session on the University of Nairobi Pension Scheme. The session targeted members of staff- both Teaching and non teaching- at the College of Education and External Studies.
Prof Irungu gave a detailed update on the affairs of Pension Scheme, highlighting the major achievements the scheme has had in the past one year (2014/2015). In her presentation, she discussed findings on a study conducted on behalf of the scheme on the investing patterns of retirees. She encouraged members to “update their nomination of beneficiary forms regularly and consider actively participating in post-retirement medical scheme and make additional voluntary pension contributions in order to enhance their benefits earned.
