Agronomic concepts of the potato with reference to increasing the potential yield under tropical conditions
Abstract
The 3 phases of potato growth are described and the influence of soil preparation, quality, size and presprouting of seed tubers, plant population density, planting date and depth, fertilizers and weed, pest and disease control on potato yields in the tropics are discussed.
