    Abstract
Indicated is how ethnic interaction - in this case largely Nile-Bantu interaction - may lead to evolution of religious concepts. In trying to assess the influence of religion upon a society, the author has sought to reconstruct the conditions of growth of the religion in question. He describes this both as an independent variable affecting the society and as a dependent variable manipulated by the society to solve problems
