Haemolytic activity of trypanosomes.

Abstract

A homogenate of Trypanosoma evansi obtained by freezing and thawing was haemolytic for rat or mouse erythrocytes in vitro and also in vivo. The active principle was associated with the particulate fraction and was absent from the soluble fraction.
