The Second Chinese Corner---Chinese Marriage

Abstract

2pm, Oct 9th 2015, the second Chinese Corner and Cultural Activities held in ED213. All the lectures and volunteers and many students of the university were presented. The theme this time was Chinese marriage.

This activity respect the culture difference of the two country sufficiently. Teacher Hu Xianglin, came from CIUON, introduce the evolution process of the Chinese character”婚”, then, she invited a Kenyan student Tao Beisha to introduce the characteristic of Kenya Marriage. After that, they explain and make contrast from the aspect of introduction, proposal, preparation, guests and ceremony, which trained the Chinese expression capability of the students.After the careful and patient explanation, Ms Hu played the video of Chinese marriage, Then, teacher Wang Zhongyu taught a song concerning Chinese Marriage, the Moon Represent My Heart.

The Chinese corner came to the end in happy laughter and cheerful voices, students learned some Chinese culture, practiced their oral Chinese and improved their interests to study Chinese.
