    Abstract
The numbers of women group projects have increased over the last decade. This has been attributed mostly by various factors that have made the environment conducive for the women to engage in projects in the community with an aim of generating income. The objective of the study was to examine the influence of women group empowerment, access to finance, social support and social capital on the growth of women group projects in Tabaka District Kisii County. In order to achieve this objective, the study adopted descriptive survey employing the use of questionnaires and interviews to collect data from a sample of 200 women from a selected number of women groups who were selected using stratified random sampling method. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentages frequencies, figures and tables. The study revealed that there is a positive relationship between growth of women projects and women group empowerment, access to finance, social support and social capital. This positive relationship indicates that there is a correlation between the factors and the growth of women group projects in Tabaka District Kisii County. The study will be significant to both the private and public sector institutions responsible in facilitating development through women empowerment concerning the best strategies that can be employed to even trigger more growth of women group projects in the pursuit towards sustainable development at all levels.
