dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the trend and pattern of reporting injuries among the construction site workers and to find out the factors leading to underreporting of injuries in construction sites. The major objective of this study was to investigate on the injury reporting trend in construction sites within Kasarani Constituency. A cross sectional survey study was carried out among site workers on the construction sites in Kasarani Constituency. Data collection was done using a structured questionnaire, and an observational schedule. The study found that, generally there is lack of awareness on the occupational safety and health issues amongst the workers and weakness in enforcing safety and health regulations. Adequate consideration is not given to safety in the construction industry. Therefore, there is need to add awareness of safety among construction workers; need for more legislations and proper implementation of the law to control the construction industry.en_US
