| dc.description.abstract | The research design adopted in this study is the cross sectional research design reason
being it focused on the supply chain integration and performance of commercial banks in
Kenya. From the responses in the questionnaires it was noted that (44.4%) of the
respondents had a masters degree. The study, from this findings could generally infer that
most respondents were well educated and knowledgeable to provide the theortical
information relating to the effects of supply chain intergration and the performance of
commercial banks in Kenya. A correlation coefficient of 0.906 and determination
coefficients of 0.821 was established between the model variables and performance in
commercial banks. This depicted a strong correlation between supply chain integration
and performance of commercial banks. Thus, Cost, Responsiveness, Security,
Sustainability and resilience account for 82.1% of the variations in performance. The
study concluded that supply chain management emphasizes all aspects of delivering
products and services to customers. The study concluded that cost, responsiveness,
security, sustainability and resilience should be taken into consideration in ensuring
performance of the commercial banks. The study recommended that strategist should
regulate and provide or develop policies that will facilitate easy adoption of supply chain
integration in the financial institutions. | en_US |
