    Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of teachers' job satisfaction on students' performance in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in secondary schools in Kahuro District, Kenya. The study was guided by the following objectives; to identify the influence of the schools' category on teachers' job satisfaction, to establish how the teacher remunerations affect students' performance in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination results, to examine the influence of the organization of the- teaching timetable on the performance of K.C.S.E results, to establish the relationship between assignments of responsibilities among teachers and the K.C.S.E results, to determine the influence of fringe benefits among teachers on the K.C.S.E results and to establish the relationship between teacher opportunities for growth and development on K.C.S.E results in secondary schools. The study was based on the theory of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. The study used descriptive survey method. The sample comprised of 90 teachers and 14 headteachers from public secondary schools in Kahuro. In this study questionnaires were used to collect data. Qualitative data was analyzed by descriptive methods. Quantitative data was presented using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). It was used to generate frequency distribution tables that were used in data analysis. From the study fmdings, it is deduced that the teachers are not comfortable with their salaries, fringe benefits and the timetable arrangement of their lessons. This is from the response where most 59% of them disagreed that they get a good pay, a majority 50% complained about lesson allocation while others 51 % were not comfortable with fringe benefits that they get. This is the cause of poor performance of the students in Kenya certificate of Secondary Education. The study recommended that the generation of the timetable should be checked as many teachers were uncomfortable. Curriculum developers should involve the teachers in curriculum development and decision making. The TSC should provide growth opportunities for teachers through study leaves. This will improve the motivation of the teachers and hence enhance their job satisfaction in their teaching profession. Further studies should be done on teachers motivational methods in order to enhance their job satisfaction in the teaching profession.
