Since 2003, the Ford Foundation office in Nairobi has supported over 20 sexuality grantees to give visibility, depth and legitimacy to the field of sexuality. Through this support, grantees have promoted informed dialogue and open discussions around sexuality and contributed to positive changes in the emerging field of sexuality by creating mechanisms for learning at the regional level. The grantees have sought to change public discourse on gender and sexuality and to create a more constructive and enabling policy environment in the field of sexual health and rights.en
