    Abstract
Kenyan politics has largely been characterized by colonial and neocolonial policies. In this philosophical search concentration is given to the logical and epistemological issues that call for political reform, and are believed to critically form the basic need for political education in Kenya. This argument is echoed in the idea that the current education process in Kenya is largely a victim of colonial importation that has imposed Kenyans to political colonialism and neo-colonialism. Due to neo-colonialism the greater Kenyan population is blinded and thus ignorant to political oppression and abuse imposed upon them. In this work emphasis is given to shaping politics and political atmosphere in Kenya through the education process. A reflection on governance since independence is given. In this are political philosophies and practices that call for change in the Kenyans’ approach to political issues and challenges that confront them. Such a change can be reached through conscientization process in education. A focus on relevant political education that will liberate Kenyans from neocolonialism, political manipulation gimmicks and enhance Kenyans’ development on political matters and issues is also given.
