This study was to establish the influence of learning environment of infrastructural projects on pupils‟ academic performance in public Primary schools in Mukuru slum. The study was guided by the following objectives: To examine the state of the physical buildings on pupils‟ academic performance in primary schools in Mukuru slum, To establish the influence of classroom size of pupils‟ academic performance in primary schools in Mukuru slum, To investigate the influence of teacher job motivation on pupils‟ academic performance in primary schools in Mukuru slum, and to determine the influence of school location on pupils‟ academic performance in primary schools in Mukuru slum. Descriptive survey design was used for the project. The target population consisted of 79 respondents, head teachers and teachers in the primary schools in Mukuru Slum. The sample size was a total of 68 drawn from the target population using the Krejcie and Morgan‟s table and simple random sampling technique. Questionnaires were used as instruments for data collection. Primary data from the field was edited first. Coding was then done to translate question responses into specific categories. Coding organized and reduced data into manageable summaries. Quantitative data collected was analyzed by descriptive statistics while content analysis techniques were used to analyze qualitative data. Descriptive statistics such as means, standard deviation, frequencies and percentages was used to describe the data. The analyzed data was then presented in the form of tables. On the influence of state of physical building on pupil‟s academic performance, the respondents 33.3% indicated that there was construction being undertaken in there schools with 66.7% indicating that no construction or expansion to rehabilitate classrooms was happening. The respondents strongly agree that state of physical buildings strongly influences pupil academic performance to a great extent with a mean of 1.26 and standard deviation of 0.07. In terms of how classroom size influences academic performance in public primary schools in Mukuru, the study established that classroom size influences pupils‟ academic performance to a great extent with a mean of 1.93 and standard deviation of 0.46. In investigating the influence of teacher motivation on pupils‟ academic performance in public primary schools in Mukuru slum, the study found that teacher motivation does influence academic performance to a large extent with a mean of 1.24 and standard deviation of 0.01. In studying the influence of school location on pupils‟ academic performance, the study found that school location influences the pupils‟ academic performance in public primary schools in Mukuru slum. In conclusion the study found that all the independent variables of the study which are state of physical buildings, classroom size, teacher job motivation and school location influence pupils‟ academic performance in public primary schools in Mukuru slum
